Eliche di ventilazione nere, stelle di capodanno bruciate, vento

Le sculture aeree, “tendo a esistere” sono i feticci prodotti dal video a doppio canale girato l’artista dentro Villa Galileo a Firenze, l’ultima casa del grande scienziato. Composte da vecchie eliche in metallo con l’innesto di stelle filanti, l’artista usa questi corpi composti le riprese notturne dentro il cortile e la piccionaia della casa di Galileo.
La rotazione orizzontale delle eliche e il consumarsi in verticale delle stelle che bruciano richiamano simbolicamente i movimenti dell’universo, delle galassie a spirale e delle stelle che si consumano nel tempo ed in tempi diversi.
L’artista sceglie di laccarle in nero e mantenere le stelle filanti bruciate per esporle nel cortile interno in balia del vento.

The aerial sculptures, "I tend to exist," are the fetishes produced by the dual-channel video shot the artist inside Villa Galileo in Florence, the great scientist's last home. Composed of old metal propellers grafted with streamers, the artist uses these composite bodies the night shots inside the courtyard and pigeon house of Galileo's house.The horizontal rotation of the propellers and the vertical consuming of the burning stars symbolically recall the movements of the universe, spiral galaxies and stars that are consumed over time and at different times.
The artist chooses to lacquer them in black and keep the burning streamers for display in the courtyard at the mercy of the wind.
